AMBER Alert For Missing 2-Year-Old Canceled

Authorities said the child was abducted by his father.

LANSING, MI — An AMBER Alert issued by 2-year-old boy missing out of the Lansing area has been canceled, according to WXYZ. The boy was found safe, according to the news outlet.

The alert said Phoenix Washington Jr. was taken by his 26-year-old Phoenix Washington around 8 a.m.

The suspect, the boy's father, broke into the home the boy was staying and kidnapped him, the alert said.

The suspect is 26 years old, described as a Black man who is 5-foot-5-inches tall and about 160 pounds. The child is also Black, about 2-feet tall and 30 pounds.

Authorities are asking people to be on the lookout for a 2011 Black Mazda with a license plate of EFM6569.
