Michigan Adds 775 New Coronavirus Cases, 19 Deaths Tuesday

Michigan reported fewer than 1,000 new cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday.

MICHIGAN — Michigan added fewer than 1,000 new cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday, according to the most recent coronavirus data released Tuesday by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

The state reported 775 new COVID-19 cases and 19 more COVID-19 deaths, according to state health officials. Tuesday's updated figures bring Michigan's statewide coronavirus totals to 576,264 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 15,177 reported COVID-19 deaths.

Michigan reported 1,265 new cases of the coronavirus and eight COVID-19 deaths on Monday, a total that included all cases reported between then and Saturday. State health officials said Saturday that nearly 518,000 people in Michigan had recovered from the coronavirus.

Tuesday's figures were released a day after Michigan reported 22 new outbreaks of the coronavirus in schools across the state.
