Michigan Reports 1,536 New Coronavirus Cases, 5 Deaths Wednesday
Michigan has more than 591,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday, officials said.
MICHIGAN — Michigan reported 1,536 new cases of the coronavirus and five more deaths Wednesday, according to the latest COVID-19 data released by the state.
Following Wednesday's figures, the state has now reported 591,753 confirmed coronavirus cases and reported 15,563 COVID-19 cases, according to state data.
More than 541,000 Michiganders have recovered from the virus, according to state data.

The latest coronavirus data comes as Michigan announced Wednesday it was expanding its COVID-19 vaccine rollout.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced it is moving forward with the vaccination of residents age 50 and older with medical conditions or disabilities and caregiver family members and guardians who care for children with special health care needs beginning Monday.
On March 22, vaccine eligibility will again expand to include all Michiganders 50 and older, officials said.
