More than 150 girls and women gave victim impact statements during a sentencing hearing for Nassar. He was sentenced to up to 175 years in prison for molesting girls and young women during routine exams.
The university is facing criticism, as well as multiple lawsuits, from the victims of Nassar's abuse who say complaints against him were ignored and not taken seriously. The women contend that he could have been stopped sooner.
