SOS Adds Self-Service Stations For Vehicle Plate Renewals At 28 Meijers

28 Meijer stores across Michigan now provide self-service stations for customers to renew their vehicle plate and registration.

Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson announced Monday that 28 Meijer stores across Michigan now provide self-service stations for customers to renew their vehicle plate and registration.

“Meijer stores are a favorite shopping spot for many Michiganders, and now many of them will also be a place where you can complete Secretary of State transactions, such as renewing your tabs,” Benson said. “We’re very pleased to partner with Meijer to bring this convenience to our mutual customers.”

To renew a vehicle, including motorcycles and watercraft, at the kiosks, customers must have the plate number and the last four digits of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

In the weeks ahead, more Meijer locations will be getting the self-service stations. Updated information and store details are listed on the Secretary of State website.

“The ability to check an extra errand off their list during a shopping trip will allow our customers to gain more time in their busy days,” said Vik Srinivasan, Meijer senior vice president of properties and real estate.
