Berkley Man Among 3 Killed in Minnesota Plane Crash

In addition to the three fatalities, a Birmingham man also was severely injured.

Dale Edward Garrett, 49, of Berkley is among three men who died Friday when a twin engine plane they were flying in crashed in Minnesota, according to a story in the Detroit News.

Troy resident Joel Alan Garrett, 79, and Birmingham resident John Paul Bergeron, 50, also were killed in the crash, according to the report.

Birmingham resident Joseph Samuel Stevens, 61, survived the crash and was transported to a hospital with severe injuries, according to the report. His condition is unknown.

The incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. near the Minnesota-Iowa border.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
