Berkley's Pattengill Elementary a National Blue Ribbon Schools
Thirteen Michigan schools were recognized with the prestigious award; five are in Oakland County.

Five Oakland County schools are among 13 in Michigan recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools under a program that recognizes overall academic excellence and progress in closing achievement gaps.
All of the schools recognized in Oakland County are part of the public school system. The U.S. Department of Education program recognizes public and private elementary, middle and high schools. The schools are among 7,500 winners nationwide.
