Berkley's Pattengill Elementary a National Blue Ribbon Schools

Five Oakland County schools are among 13 in Michigan recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools under a program that recognizes overall academic excellence and progress in closing achievement gaps.

All of the schools recognized in Oakland County are part of the public school system. The U.S. Department of Education program recognizes public and private elementary, middle and high schools. The schools are among 7,500 winners nationwide.

The local winners are:

Eastover Elementary School, Bloomfield Hills Public Schools, recognized as an exemplary high performing school.

Novi Woods Elementary School, Novi Community School District, recognized as an exemplary high-performing school.

Pattengill Elementary School, Berkley School District, recognized as an exemplary high-performing school.

Pine Knob Elementary School, Clarkston Community Schools, recognized as an exemplary high performing school.

Salem Elementary School, South Lyon Community Schools, recognized as an exemplary high performing school.
