Community Warmed Up Neighbors!

NorthPointe Foot & Ankle and the Berkley Senior Center in collected new gloves, hats, scarves and socks for local residents in need. The drive was held November 12 – December 7.

“We want to thank all of our patients and community members that contributed to the success of this year’s donation drive,” said Dr. Lee Hoffman, podiatrist at NorthPointe Foot & Ankle. “We also want to acknowledge and thank the Berkley Senior Center team for their support of the drive and their effort in getting these donations to those that really need them.”

This was the eighth year that the two organizations have partnered to host the drive and dozens of donated pieces, as well as monetary support, have been collected to distribute the community. Some of the donated items were handmade knit accessories. The donations will be distributed to local residents and students before Christmas. Monetary donations will be used to purchase gifts of warmth.
