Huntington Woods Lawyer Pleads Guilty In Fraud Scheme
Lawyer offered investors stake in medical marijuana business, used proceeds for Las Vegas casino gambling instead.

Huntington Woods attorney Robert Gross pleaded guilty last week to fraud. Gross, whose victims included at least three of his clients, solicited investment funds, but actually used the money gambling in Las Vegas casinos. Gross, 48, agreed to make $3,635,000 in restitution to victims in the scheme as part of his plea agreement.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, Gross promised investors their $2 million would go towards expense for a new medical marijuana business. Gross entered his plea in U.S. District Court in Detroit in front of Judge Avern.
