Man Enters Plea in Highway Indecent Exposure Case

After Bloomfield Township police released photo of suspect, several motorists in Livingston and Wayne counties reported similar encounters.

A man accused of exposing himself to Bloomfield Township motorists this spring pleaded no-contest to indecent exposure charges Tuesday in Oakland County Circuit Court.

The plea by Ryan Daniel Daves, 38, of Fowlerville, isn’t an admission of guilt, but will be treated as such when he is sentenced Nov. 3 on the three counts of aggravated indecent exposure, The Livingston Daily Press & Argus reports.

A group of women in a car traveling on Telegraph Road near Maple Road about 1 p.m. April 18 alleged that Daves made sexual gestures to get their attention and then exposed his genitals while driving alongside their vehicle.

The women took pictures and turned them over to Bloomfield Township police, who released the photographs and identified Daves as the suspect after receiving tips from citizens, including victims in both Livingston and Wayne counties who said they’d had similar encounters.
