New Swing to Kiwanis Tot Lot Park

NorthPointe Foot & Ankle Helped raise funds

NorthPointe Foot & Ankle in Berkley joined the Friends of Berkley Parks & Recreation as they raised funds for a special swing that accommodates children with disabilities in Berkley’s Kiwanis Tot Lot Park. The Friends of Berkley Parks & Recreation is a non-profit organization consisting of community members working to enhance and promote the City of Berkley’s Recreation Facilities and Parks.

Last August, donations were accepted at the NorthPointe Foot & Ankle office. Patients, staff and doctors gave to help raise enough funds to purchase the swing. In March, the swing was hung in Tot Lot Park and became ready for community use.

“We have been serving Berkley and the surrounding communities for over 30 years,” said Dr. Lee Hoffman, NorthPointe Foot & Ankle partner. “In that time, we have seen how generous our patients and the residents can be. We were not surprised at the support that the collection received and are thrilled that we helped the Friends purchase this special swing.”
