You Can Help Prevent Flooding in Oakland County
Some easy precautions taken while mowing can help prevent storm water drains from plugging.

With heavy rain a in the forecast, the Road Commission of Oakland County is reminding residents, businesses and individuals with mowing contracts to not blow cut grass or tree debris back into the roadway along the curb or into roadside ditches.
The grass and tree debris can plug the catch basins and roadside ditches that are designed to provide storm-water drainage and prevent flooding of the road system throughout Oakland County.
“Keep the drains and ditches free of debris and let the rain drain,” the RCOC said in a news release.
