Suspicious snow plow seen parked in rental car lot on day of tire theft

Wheels and tires were stolen from a rental car at Avis Budget Car and Truck Rental this Monday. The incident occurred around 8 a.m. Monday at the lot located at 1000 E. Maple Rd., police say.

One employee noted that she saw a white plow truck in the parking lot when she arrived at work Monday. She told police she thought its presence suspicious since it was just sitting there without its lights on and there was no snow.

Employees say blond woman in her 40s stole gold bracelet from shop

A gold cuff bracelet valued at $1,100 was stolen from Birmingham's My House of Style last week. According to police reports, the theft occurred around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 at the shop located at 574 N. Old Woodward.

Shop employees described the thief as a woman in her 40's with blond hair, police reports say.

Another propane tank goes missing from Graefield area

A propane tank was stolen from the back patio of a house on the 1900 block of Graefield earlier this month, police say. According to reports, the incident occurred sometime between noon Wednesday, Jan. 2 and 5:30 p.m. last Saturday. There are no suspects at this time.

This isn't the first time propane tanks have gone missing on Graefield. In early December, another resident on the 700 block of Graefield Court reported that their LP tank went missing. Later that month, several other residents noted their propane tanks had been stolen as well.

House on Humphrey egged overnight

A home on the 600 block of Humphrey was "egged" last weekend. According to police reports, the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. last Saturday and two screens protecting the windows had egg-sized holes in them. At this time, there are no suspects.

That block has been popular with "eggers" in recent months. At the end of December, a resident on the 600 block of Humphrey — police would not release specific addresses — said their home had been egged for the third time in four months.
