There’s a chance of needed rain in the forecast overnight and into Friday, but once the three-day holiday weekend officially kicks in, get ready for warm, sunny days and pleasant days.

The National Weather Service says there’s a slight chance of severe weather late Thursday in several southeast Michigan counties, including Oakland, Macomb, Wayne, Livingston, Genesee and Washtenaw.
