Birmingham Movie Night is a fun-filled, family-friendly event, co-hosted by the Birmingham Bloomfield Community Coalition and the Birmingham Principal Shopping District. It takes place in Booth Park, which is located at the intersection of Old Woodward and Harmon. Activities begin at 7:30 p.m. Movies begin at dusk.

The evening began with a wonderful set of games for kids. There was music, free popcorn and cotton candy, and a chance for families to spend time together in the great outdoors.

The free movie event is now in its 8th season, with more than 3,000 people attending every summer. Among the visitors last night was a group from Angels' Place, which offers homes for adults with developmental disabilities.
