
Spots are still available to attend Learning Conference 2013 from June 19-20 at Groves High School in Beverly Hills, according to the Birmingham Public Schools website.
The conference, sponsored by the district, will cover innovative practices in teaching; character education; Common Core curriculum standards; and how to leverage technology in the classroom and beyond. This year's keynote speakers are Tony Wagner, the first Innovation Education Fellow at the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard; and Heidi Hayes Jacobs, executive director for the Curriculum Mapping Institute.Â
