Birmingham Sex Offender Halloween Safety Map 2017

BIRMINGHAM, MI — Before kids go out trick or treating on Halloween, fall is a good time to take an inventory of who is living in your neighborhood. Birmingham currently has five registered sex offenders listed on the Michigan Sex Offender Registry.

The Registry database is searchable by county, municipality, city, zip code and mile radius of a particular address. People also can search by an individual’s name, non-compliant offender status, sexually violent predator status and transient offender status.

Patch’s Halloween Safety Map has pins that represent addresses of offenders convicted of sex crimes. Many are listed as being on active supervision.

According to state law, if a registered sex offender is on active supervision, they are banned from Halloween activities involving children. Registered sex offenders having Terminated status are not on state supervision and are not subject to this restriction.
