'Birmingham in Stitches' Starts Saturday

The event is being held from Sept. 16 to Oct. 8.

BIRMINGHAM, MI — Minions, Mutant Ninja Turtles and other creations have taken over Birmingham. The colorful works of yarn, which can be seen on parking meters and near city hall, are part of the Birmingham in Stitches event being held from Sept. 16 to Oct. 8, according to an Oakland Press report.

“The yarn event was last held in Birmingham in 2015, and the inaugural “yarn bombing” was in 2012, he said. Both brought people downtown, so the city opted to bring it back, with support from the Birmingham Public Arts Board and other organizations.”
“Those who are interested in participating in the next Birmingham In Stitches event are encouraged to contact project leader Anne Ritchie at 248- 635-1765 or anneritchie7@yahoo.com.”
