Birmingham Youth Assistance Hosts 39th Annual Kids’ Dog Show
Kick off Superbowl Sunday with your furry friend at this family-friendly event Feb. 2.
From Birmingham Youth Assistance: Birmingham Youth Assistance (BYA) will host its 39th Annual Kids’ Dog Show from 1 – 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, in the gymnasium at Berkshire Middle School, located at 21707 W. 14 Mile Road in Beverly Hills. This fun, family-friendly event is a great opportunity for local kids aged 4-14 to show off their beloved furry friends while supporting the important work of BYA. Participants will compete for prizes in five categories: Best Costume, Best Trick, Waggiest Tail, Best Looking and Musical Sit – an exciting new category featured for the first time this year.
The BYA Kids’ Dog Show is a great way to kick-off Superbowl Sunday and to squeeze in some fun and exercise for the kiddos and doggies before the big game. In addition to the friendly competition, the Southfield Police Department will provide an exciting K-9 demonstration and an instructor from the Southern Michigan Obedience Training Club will show the kids an easy command that they can teach their dogs – all while DJ Music in Motion spins tunes that are sure to keep feet tapping and tails wagging!
“This fun, kid-centered event has become a popular Superbowl Sunday tradition in the community,” said BYA Chair David Wind. “It is wonderful to see the excitement and enthusiasm of our outstanding participants.”
