BREAKING: With Heavy Rain Expected, Don't Do This
If you're mowing or doing fall yard work, take precautions to make things easier on everyone.

With the potential for heavy rain moving into Metro Detroit Tuesday night and Wednesday, the Road Commission for Oakland County has an urgent reminder for residents, businesses and contractors doing fall mowing and other yard work:
Do not blow cut grass, leaves and tree debris back into the roadway along the curb or into roadside ditches.
Grass, leaves and tree debris can plug the catch basins and roadside ditches that are designed to provide storm-water drainage and prevent flooding of the road system throughout Oakland County.

Instead, the Road Commission said, keep the drains and ditches free of debris and let the rain drain.
According to the National Weather Service, rain chances Tuesday night and Wednesday are 100 percent.
