Calling All Birmingham Families: Yes, You Can Help Santa Light the Tree
Enter the contest by Nov. 16 to win a special evening with Santa.

BIRMINGHAM, MI – Halloween isn't here yet but the rest of the holidays will be here before you can blink. Children of all ages love Santa and the anticipation of all things wonderful at Christmastime. Get your family dreaming about time with Santa and enter the 2016 Birmingham Santa Contest.
The Birmingham Shopping District's treasured tradition gives local families an opportunity to help Santa light up Birmingham’s tree on Nov. 23, according to a press release.
The winning family will enjoy hot cocoa and cookies with Santa at The Townsend Hotel in downtown Birmingham, followed by a horse-drawn carriage ride to the Birmingham Tree Lighting event in Shain Park. Once there, the family will help Santa, Birmingham’s Mayor and other dignitaries with the official tree lighting ceremony. Topping off the evening, the family will be presented with a special gift.
