Detroit Country Day School Seniors Make College Commitments
As part of National Signing Day, five student athletes announce intentions

Five Detroit Country Day School (DCDS) seniors have signed college commitments to play a variety of sports at colleges and universities throughout the country. DCDS Executive Director of Athletics Dan MacLean made the announcement.
The five student athletes making commitments as part of National Signing Day include:
- Darrin King (Inkster, MI), Wayne State University, football
- Demetriess Champion (West Bloomfield, MI), University of Findlay, football
- Nick Jackson (Bloomfield Hills, MI), Kalamazoo College, football
- Sam Evola (Rochester, MI), Minot Minotauros (NAHL), junior hockey
- Abbie Ashcraft (Bloomfield Hills, MI), Wake Forest University, field hockey
Athletics is an integral part of DCDS’s total educational experience. By offering a broad range of athletic activities for both male and female students, from mountain biking and sailing to basketball and lacrosse, the athletic program at DCDS is dedicated to building healthy lifestyles and the development of a well-rounded student athlete.
