Birmingham Winter Markt Continues this Weekend
Large crowd expected for annual Winter Markt, a European open-air market featuring holiday decor, ice sculptures and live entertainment.

When you’re plotting your holiday shopping, be sure to include the sixth annual Birmingham Winter Markt, a European-style outdoor market at Shain Park from Dec. 4-6.
Hours are 3-9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4; 10 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6.
More than 50 vendors will take part in the event, offering European food and drinks gift items, holiday greens, crafts, ice-carving demonstrations, live reindeer, a meet-and-greet with winter princesses, warming stations, horse-drawn carriage rides and live entertainment. Of course, Santa will be keeping hours in his quaint house in Shain Park.

Attendees are encouraged to stop by the Kinderhaus children’s activity area for complimentary crafts.The Kinderhaus is sponsored by Goldfish Swim School and hosted by Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, BBAC, Bright Loritos, Goldfish Swim School and the Michigan Falun Dafa Association.
