Harbaugh to Sleep Over at No.1 Kicking Recruit's House

ROCKFORD, MI – University of Michigan Wolverine head football coach Jim Harbaugh is so determined to sign No. 1 kicking prospect Quinn Nordin that he’s sleeping over at Nordin’s home Rockford early Thursday morning, the first day college coaches can contact recruits after the dead period ends.

Nordin, who is committed to Penn State, told Scout.com Harbaugh may even accompany him to school.

“Under the exact rules, he’s going to be at my house at 12:01 he said. That’s when it’s legal for him to be at my house,” Nordin said. “He said we can watch a movie, see how well we gel and he said he would sleep over after that.

“I was in tears laughing when he said that. He said the next day, if my parents didn’t want me to miss school, he would go to every class with me and go to lunch with me. I was laughing so hard.”

Harbaugh reportedly offered to sleep on a 6-foot, 3-inch piece of carpet, but Nordin said his family has a guest room.

“He said, ‘Coach, I have Penn State stuff all over my walls.’ He said, ‘Tell you what, I can help you take it down,’ ” Nordin told Scout.com.

Nordin is expected to make an official visit to Michigan this weekend, as well as visit Baylor and Penn State before making his final decision on national Signing Day on Feb. 3.

Harbaugh, whose team is No. 2 in recruits behind the Louisiana State University Tigers, plans to show up at Nordin’s house at 12:01 a.m. Thursday. Though Nordin maintains Penn State is his pick, he made back-to-back visits to Ann Arbor in October, MLive.com said.
