Motorists Stopped For Possessing Marijuana in Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills
The Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety and Birmingham police provided the following information. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

Officers with the Birmingham Police Department and Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety a made several arrests for alcohol or drug-related crimes over the past week. Here are the incidents highlighted from recent police reports.
- An 18-year-old Lake Orion man and a 17-year-old from Birmingham were arrested for possession of marijuana paraphernalia after Birmingham police stopped a vehicle they were in for having a headlight out on Maple near Adams at about 1:30 a.m. Jan. 4, reports said. Both received citations for possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, and court dates are pending.
- Police in Bloomfield Hills arrested a 24-year-old Oak Park man for possession of narcotics after he was stopped for a traffic violation on Dec. 12, reports said. The officer detected an odor of drugs in the interior of the vehicle and confronted the man, who surrendered the suspected drugs to officers. Charges are pending with the Oakland County Prosecutors office.
