No Saturday School In Birmingham Due To Weather

The forecast calls for three to five inches of snow in Metro Detroit beginning Friday evening.

BIRMINGHAM, MI — Attention, students! No Saturday School on Saturday, Dec. 17, due to the severe winter weather, according to a press release from Birmingham Public School.

The full press release is below:

Saturday School resumes on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017. Saturday School takes place every Saturday (excluding holidays and breaks) throughout the school year. It is hosted in the media center at Berkshire Middle School from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. All K-12 Birmingham Public Schools students and parents are welcome to join. There is currently a winter weather advisory in effect from 7 p.m. Friday night until noon on Saturday, Dec. 18 for the Metro Detroit area, according to the National Weather Advisory. The forecast calls for three to five inches of snow beginning early Friday evening.
