Golf Clubs, Computers Stolen From Mutiple Vehicles in Birmingham

Police said they found several of the stolen items in an around a pond off of Lahser Road.

Detectives with the Birmingham Police Department are investigating a series of vehicle break-ins that occurred last week in neighborhoods on the city's north side, reports said.

  • 1000 block of Pilgrim: A resident told police several items were stolen from his locked car sometime overnight between March 27 and March 28, reports said. Items include golf clubs, sunglasses and $200 cash.  There were no signs of forced entry and no suspect information was available.
  • 200 block of Puritan: A resident told police that items were taken from two vehicles parked overnight between March 27 and March 28.  Items missing included sunglasses, golf clubs, a gym bag, two pairs of shoes, operating glasses, a briefcase and a laptop, reports said. Police said they found several of the items inside and next to a pond in the 2800 block of Lahser road. The investigation is ongoing.
  • 300 block of Suffield: A resident in the told police several items were stolen from his car while it was parked in his garage sometime overnight between March 27 and March 28, reports said. A laptop and briefcase were reported stolen from the unlocked vehicle. Police said the side door to the garage was unlocked.
  • 1100 block of Lake Park: A resident told police several items, including golf clubs, golf bag, golf shoes and a radar detector  were stolen from his locked car sometime overnight between March 27 and March 28, reports said. Police found some of the property near a pond in the 1800 block of Lahser Road. In this incident, a police said a neighbor noticed an older, dark colored truck parked in front of the home between 12:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.
