Protective headgear, plenty of water and salt supplements help crews battle heat during reconstruction of Old Woodward
Crews in downtown Birmingham are trying to beat the heat with protective coverings, plenty of water and salt supplements as they continue the reconstruction of Old Woodward between Brown and Willits/Oakland on Monday (6-18-18).
On Sunday (6-17-18), contractors laid the new concrete roadway for the southbound side of Old Woodward between Brown and Maple Rd. The northbound strip of the new concrete was paved late last week. It is anticipated that the new concrete for the left center turn lane will be paved this week on S. Old Woodward between Brown and Maple Rd.
