Trash Pick-up Delayed Due To Weather In And Around Birmingham

Trash collection in Birmingham and Beverly Hills will be delayed today due to the dangerously frigid temperatures. Birmingham city officials announced trash and recycling services would be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week on the city's Facebook page at about 10 a.m. 

Village officials had not intended a delay this week despite Sunday's heavy snowfall. However, they were notified of the delay shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday as temperatures remained below zero around the region.

The Birmingham Public Schools, and all area private schools closed Tuesday
