"The target demographic is the neighborhood, and it will appeal to many residents and shoppers" he said of the 3500 square-foot restaurant at the southwest corner of the Bloomfield Commons shopping center. "But we also believe the local high schools will bring post-event customers there, and that it will appeal to wide range of people from families to large groups."
The Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees approved the concept and liquor license for the establishment last summer, which included an outdoor cafe-style patio for seating.
The menu ranges from spicy-sweet Korean fried chicken ($8) and cool scallops ceviche ($14), to a trio of burger selections served with hand-cut fries ($12). Other eye-catching dishes include jerk shrimp with coconut rice ($21), and a vegetable-laden Singapore street noodles that can be topped with tofu, chicken or shrimp ($17-$20).
