What Should Birmingham's New Logo Look Like? Here's Your Chance To Have A Say
The proposed designs are based on research conducted over the past four months.

BIRMINGHAM, MI — A new logo is in the works for the city of Birmingham. Residents can weigh in on a number of preliminary design concepts this Thursday, March 23, at a city hall meeting of the Ad Hoc Birmingham Brand Development Committee (BBDC) at 7:30 p.m.
Birmingham-based McCann Worldwide’s advertising team will share their top proposed preliminary designs to the committee for review. In November, McCann was selected by the city to design a fresh logo for Birmingham, which has not been updated for many years.
“It will be great to update the city’s current logo to something that really represents what Birmingham is today - a vibrant and walkable city that is inviting and provides a terrific environment for all to enjoy,” said Birmingham Mayor Mark Nickita, who sits on the seven-person committee.

The proposed designs are based on research conducted by McCann during the past four months, including three stakeholder visionary meetings in December, which gathered valuable insight about Birmingham from residents, business owners and current board members.
The Birmingham City Commission approved the creation of the seven-member ad hoc committee in October. The committee was tasked with updating and refreshing the city’s current logo. Once the committee has selected one or more designs, they will propose the top selections to the City Commission during an upcoming meeting.
