Kelly’s Irish Pub, 3701 S, Telegraph Road, Dearborn | 2.5 Stars

Courtney D., of Dearborn, wrote: “Quaint neighborhood pub, nice patio, no presumptions, just a good place to spend a few hours catching up with friends. Food is pretty good too.”

Sean O’Callaghans, 821 Penniman Ave., Plymouth | 3.5 Stars

Donna G., of Livonia, wrote: “One of my favorite places in Plymouth to have lunch, dinner or to watch a game and have a few cocktails. Decent prices and a friendly staff makes your experience that much more enjoyable. Love the Scot- Egg (not all that thrilled with the cracked mustard sauce though) and the Bread pudding is a must even if it always ends up in a to-go container.

Liberty Street Brewing Company, 149 W. Liberty St., Plymouth | 4 Stars

Margaret V., of Canton, wrote: “ … The brew pub is gorgeous. It's a little more upscale than what I was expecting. Plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs as well as a nice bar. They have a few snacks. Popcorn, soft pretzels, hummus, etc... They have several restaurants you can order in from. They had a nice selections of beer (IPAs, stouts, ambers, etc). In addition, they had a few wines, a mead and a hard cider.”

Malarkey’s Irish Pub, 35750 Warren Road, Westland | 3 Stars

Scott M., of Canton, wrote: “Malarkey's is a great place to have a beer or two while you and your boys wait for another one of your boys to get off work before the night begins. I love how their beer is served cold in a clean glass. ... It's all good and tasty and never skunky.”

Claddagh Irish Pub, 17800 Haggerty Road, Livonia | 3 Stars

Kim B. of Baltimore, MD, wrote: “Love it. Must have Irish coffee, fish and chips.Tried the bbq pork boxty as an appetizer. Loved the toppings not a fan of the potato pancake. But I did grow up in a Polish household, so potato pancakes are my niche.”

Sheehan’s On the Green, 39450 5 Mile Road, Northville | 4 Stars

Sam B., of Livonia, wrote: “The food — burgers, nachos, fish and chips are also all very good. Can't beat the atmosphere for a friendly bar night or a very special day like St Patrick's Day. Add this one to your stops.

John Cowley & Son’s, 33338 Grand River Ave., Farmington | 3 Stars

Steven S., of Farmington, wrote: “Food is OK and rather pricey for what you get. Atmosphere makes up for it. Staff is the best and the patrons are all very friendly. Great location. Overall, worth going to hang out and enjoy a fun, traditional Irish pub.”

Duggan’s Irish Pub, 31501 Woodward Ave., Royal Oak | 3.5 Stars

Nick S., of Royal Oak, wrote: “A Royal Oak classic. If it's a nice day, sit upstairs — the windows will be open. I love all of the racing/dream cruise memorabilia that is displayed. For nostalgia alone, this place can't be beat. Thankfully, there is much more than just the nostalgia factor. The beer is always cold — pitchers of Bud Light and Miller Light are always fairly cheap and there is a good selection of beers on tap. Food — the burgers are excellent. The Big Chief is my usual, paired with either seasoned fries or onion rings. The Club on Jeff's Bread is also a winner, as well as the Pocahontas. also like that there are frequent additions to the menu for a limited time, so there is always something new and interesting to try.”

Danny’s Irish Pub, 22824 Woodward Ave., Ferndale | 3 Stars

Kristen S., of Ferndale, wrote: “This pub has been around for over 30 years. I have fond memories of sharing a beer with my now deceased father at this classic establishment. The owner, Danny, is a wonderful soul. Having said that, the food is very reasonable, pub style menu, the day bartender whom I have gotten to know through the years Jim, is a great asset to Danny. He is personable and knows the business. He has competent management and staff, great warm atmosphere, free popcorn, and the crowd is eclectic! Not much missing in this safe, go to neighborhood joint!”

Patrick J’s Irish Pub, 3052 12 Mile Road, Berkley | 3 Stars

Larry N., of Warren, wrote: “Great food, good corn beef, and let me say the fish and chips oh my! They have a good beer selection, and really nice whiskey / bourbon selection.”

Dick O’Dow’s, 160 W Maple Road, Birmingham | 3 Stars

Andrew P., of Ann Arbor, wrote: “.. Being an Irish pub, I had to try their fish and chips which were generously portioned with thick cut fries and a side of coleslaw. The flavors were on point and the food was definitely worth $13. The restaurant is very spacious and definitely designed for happy hours or watching sports events while drinking beers. The waitstaff is very courteous and attentive to your needs. The only reason I docked a star from my rating is that food prep time is quite long. Don't be surprised if you end up waiting about half an hour for your food to come out. Also, it's not a bad idea to stop by earlier to beat the lunch and dinner rushes. Besides that, great place for a great meal! Be sure to try the sliders!”

O’Connor’s Public House, 324 Main St., Rochester | 4 Stars

Derek T., of Louisville, KY, wrote: “Great place — excellent food, good service and awesome happy hour specials. A win for lunch beers and some pretty top-notch bar food. Get the Calamari and something with a side of fries (they're the good kind, you know the ones, real thick and crunchy). I wouldn't recommend for a first date but the fact that I thought of an Irish pub as a possibility for a first date goes to show that you probably shouldn't take my recommendation on good places for a first date anyhow. Either way I'll be going back and you should too, this place is a winner.”

Clancy’s Irish Pub, 42012 Hayes Road, Clinton Township | 3.5 Stars

Kevin S., of Troy, wrote: “Nice little pub with a good beer selection and some great food. Live music on weekends. What's not to like?”

Mary Donnelly’s Public House, 3011 Orchard Lake Road, Keego Harbor | 4 Stars

John L., of Bloomfield Hills, wrote: “You definitely have to have a different mindset to walk into this place. Take a deep breath and just let the atmosphere flow over you. There are three things that you will take from your visit. First, the bartender / server ladies are attentive, make great drinks and if I might say are very hot. The most unappreciated guy here is the chef. The Donnelly burger is one of the best burgers in town. Have it your way served with fries or frips. Stick with the burgers. The drinks are big and there are many beer selections. There are lots of regulars here and they are a trip. We have been going here for years and you will never know what kind of show you are in for. Lots of table hopping. This place just keeps pulling you back in.”

Kennedy’s Irish Pub, 1055 W Huron St., Waterford | 3.5 Stars

Matt V., of Pontiac, wrote: “Well it's a typical Irish bar. I can leave the rest up to your imagination, BUT they have an amazing corned beef boxty recipe! Corned beef in a potato crepe so to speak, with horseradish sour cream. Classic good stuff. So ya, try it out at least for this. Also good music. Try it out.”

Irish Tavern, 4703 Elizabeth Lake Road, Waterford | 3.5 Stars

Bret W., of Shawnee, OK, wrote: “I'm here from out of town so I was pleasantly surprised when I found this place! Atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing meal and a few beers! Great conversation from bartenders John and Kimmy! I highly recommend any of the Boxty meals and don't bother with fries! Get the Guinness braised cabbage! Finally I have to say the price was great! I ate a filling meal and drank 4(or 5) micro brew premium beers for about $35!”

O’Malley’s Tavern Auburn Hills, 1500 Opdyke Road, Auburn Hills | 3 Stars

Christopher R., of Greenville, SC, wrote: “My wife and I needed a pub food stop before a movie and a friend recommended this place. I have NEVER been more impressed with the burger. For the price, I was blown away, but the fact that they cooked to order and hit medium rare perfectly was simply lovely. That, combined with the fact that they had a decent craft brew selection has had both my wife and I talking about and planning our next stop here.”
