Burglary at Cary Ann Hallmark; Home Invasion in Bloomfield Township

Hallmark Burglarized

Detectives with the Bloomfield Township Police Department are investigating a burglary at the Cary Ann Hallmark store on the township's north side. Store employees called police on May 5 after discovering someone pried open the rear door of the business, reports said.  Store employees said they found the office in disarray and discovered that an undisclosed amount of cash was missing. No suspect information was available, and the investigation is ongoing.

Home Invasion

A resident in the 1000 block of Timberview Trail told police that he came home from work on May 3 and realized some items were missing before he called 9-1-1. Officers determined that someone broke in by forcing open the front door. All the items stolen appear to be computers and electronics valued at approximately $4000, reports said. No suspect information was available and the investigation is ongoing.

Motorcycle Stolen

A motorcycle was taken from outside a Bloomfield Township apartment complex, reports said. The victim called police after discovering his 2003 Suzuki motorcycle gone from the parking lot of the South Fox Hills Complex at about 4:30 a.m. on May 3. He said he was visiting with a friend in the complex and that the theft occurred sometime between the evening hours on May 2 and the time he called police.

The owner still had the motorcycle keys in his possession when officers arrived to take a report. There were no witnesses to the theft and no suspect information was available. The investigation is on-going.
