Police Investigate Business Burglaries in Bloomfield Township

The Bloomfield Township Police Department provided this information. Arrests, where they are mentioned, do not indicate conviction.

Bloomfield Township

Officers with the Bloomfield Township Police Department are investigating multiple business burglaries that occurred over the past week.

The first incident occurred on April 11 when officers responded to a burglar alarm at Uncle Ed's Oil Shoppe at about 6:40 a.m. and found a broken window, police reports said. A K-9 from the Troy Police Department assisted at the scene and did not locate any suspects in the building. However, they followed a track north from the building to a nearby parking lot, where police said they believe the perpetrator left in a vehicle.

An employee also responded to the scene and determined nothing was missing, reports said. Detectives are working with authorities in Waterford, where three similar break-ins reportedly occurred with an hour prior to the local incident, reports said. No suspect information was available.
