Vehicle Break-ins at Fox Hills, Illegal Dumping in Bloomfield Township

Officers with the Bloomfield Township Police Department investigated multiple vehicle break-ins at the Fox Hills Apartments, reports said. 

A resident in the 400 Block of South Fox Hills Drive called police on Dec. 2 after discovering one of the windows on her 2013 Dodge Avenger was smashed out. Police said it appeared someone tried to take the radio but couldn't.

Officers checked the area and found another vehicle in the complex with a smashed out window. The radio in that vehicle had been removed, but was left on the driver’s seat, reports said. The officer contacted the owner, who was unaware of the damage, and forwarded both cases to detectives for futher investigation. 

Dumping Complaint

A resident in the 300 Block of Eileen told police on Dec. 1 that someone dumped several paint cans into a dumpster he rented for hauling away debris while he was away for the weekend. Officers reported that some of the cans had opened and paint was leaking from the trailer onto the driveway. The investigation is ongoing.
