Vehicle Doused With Orange Paint; Home Invasion Reported in Bloomfield Township

The Bloomfield Township Police Department provided the following information. Arrests, where they are mentioned, do not indicate conviction.

Officers with the Bloomfield Township Police Department investigated a home invasion and unrelated malicious destruction of property report over the past week, according to reports. 

Officers responded to a home invasion report in the 5000 Block of Pon Valley on Nov. 12 and learned from the homeowner that a cleaning crew discovered a basement door was broken and standing open, reports said. Officers entered the residence and determined the suspect(s) were gone. The owner went through the house and advised the only item missing was his 32-inch TV. 

Police canvassed the neighborhood, but could not find any witnesses. No suspect information was available. The case was forwarded to detectives.

Paint Job

A resident in the 4000 Block of Sandy Lane told police that someone poured orange paint over his 2008 GMC vehicle sometime overnight on Nov. 11, police reports said. 

The victim's wife came home at approximately 2 a.m. that morning and the damage was not there. Officers canvassed the area, but did not locate any witnesses. The victim was unsure how much it will cost to repair the damage, reports said. The case was assigned to detectives for follow up.
