Brighton High School Presents the 2017 Homecoming Parade

To celebrate our Brighton Bulldogs Homecoming, a parade occurred downtown to showcase all the activities that BHS has to offer.

Brighton High School’s annual Homecoming Parade is coming up. With local businesses and student clubs/groups making their appearance here, it’s sure to be a fun event for all ages.

And as tradition, all BHS students and school sanctioned activities/clubs are able to walk in the parade, from clubs like art club and GSA, to sports like football, cheerleading and band. The walk means a lot to spectators but it means everything to the students that walk in it. To them it is a way to express who they are, and the club or sport that they represent.
Brighton’s local businesses are also playing their part in this tradition. Brighton Ford is playing their part by donating three of their own Ford F150’s as vehicles for the parade floats. The building of those floats took place on the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday before the parade.
The Hype for the homecoming parade continues with the involvement of BHS student leadership and their ever growing enthusiasm towards their school and fellow students.
One familiar joy is the annual homecoming float building, which took place the week before the parade in the BHS auto tech lab.
With the promotion of Brighton High School's clubs and sports, many of the students get to express themselves and their passions that they hold at the school they love.
Life at BHS get a bit warmer when homecoming comes to town, because it means spirit days, fun activities, assemblies and other fun, neat, and interesting traditions.
Many of the parade’s onlookers had encouraging words to say about this year's parade, but one in particular, a student here at BHS, had this to say.
“This years parade is the best one by far,” Freshman Madi Hanna said, “granted it’s my first official one, but it’s nothing like I’ve ever seen before”.
And she’s not the only one, many of the parade's participants and admirers agreed that this year's homecoming parade was by far the most fun, most beautiful, most magical parade in the history of BHS. Even the Wizard of Oz himself would be proud.
So whether you are part of a club or a member of leadership. Or perhaps you run a business, or play a sport, the BHS homecoming parade is sure to excite anyone in and around it.
