Cafe Murder and Cabaret Murder Mystery Dinner Theater

The Pinckney Players are proud to announce their upcoming dinner theater production, Café Murder and Cabaret”. The show is an immersive visit to a roaring 20’s speakeasy, complete with gangsters, divas, suffragettes, and other colorful characters of the period. Dressing in 20’s attire is encouraged. Tickets include a full dinner and dessert. A cash bar will be available.

Rosemary Saint-John is a loud, annoying hypochondriac convinced she is allergic to water. Celebrating her birthday at Café Murder and Cabaret with her four kooky sisters – a suffragette, a bootlegger, a ditsy flapper, and a banker – Rosemary makes enemies with everyone around her. When she disappears and is presumed murdered, the only objective witnesses in the restaurant are the audience members, who must solve the mystery. Was it one of Rosemary’s sisters? The self-taught detective? The passionate French chef? The polite and proper maître d’? The sarcastic waiter? No one is above suspicion in this delightful dinner theatre murder mystery.

The director, Kate Murphy, has taken a hilarious modern script and adapted it for the 1920’s period, enriching the show with numerous elements gleaned from research on the period, including three musical and dance numbers. The show includes improvisation between the cast and the audience, so each performance is different.
