Green Oak Village Place Hosts 10th Boo Festival & Lantern Hike

The shopping center partners with Island Lake State Park for their first fall, lantern-guided hike

BRIGHTON, Mich., October 3, 2019 — Green Oak Village Place, a 485,000-square-foot shopping center owned jointly by REDICO and Lormax Stern Development, is hosting its 10thannual Boo Fest on October 25 from 4-6 p.m., followed by an LED Lantern Lite Hike on the Island Lake Trail Connector from 6-8 p.m.

“We wanted to do something special for our 10thanniversary of Boo Fest, so we partnered up with the Island Lake State Park to let both kids and couples continue the fun outside for an evening hike with LED lanterns down the Trial Connector,” said Sean Valentino, director of retail operations at REDICO and property manager at Green Oak Village Place. “It will definitely be an exciting and unique event this year at Green Oak, you won’t want to miss it!”

Families are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costume to trick-or-treat (while supplies last) at the many stores that participate each year includingJCPenney, Sola Salon, Revival RN, The Ride, Wild Birds, TJ Maxx and many more. Other activities for kids include Barnes and Noble children’s Storytime at 6 p.m. and Halloween games at SELCRA located between Big Frogs and Rally House. For the Lantern Lite Hike, participants may find their way to the Trail Connector at the mall trailhead kiosk near JCPenney.
