MOD Pizza Kicks Off Spreading MODness Fundraiser on Nov. 21

MOD to donate $1 for every pizza sold during Spreading MODness week - sets goal of providing 10,000 free meals to local at-risk youth

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick service and family dining restaurants throughout the state, and its nine metro Detroit MOD Pizza restaurants are teaming up with Generosity Feeds during its annual Spreading MODness week.

From November 21 through 26, 2017, TSRF will donate $1 for every MOD and Mega-size pizza sold—which, in turn, will be used to create one meal through MOD’s partnership with Generosity Feeds, a non-profit committed to ending childhood hunger. These hearty, healthy meals will be donated to Rochester-based Blessings in a Backpack to distribute to local at-risk youth.

“At MOD, we make pizza so we can serve people, and we call that Spreading MODness,” said TSFR MOD Pizza Brand Leader Jake Schostak. “We are committed to being an impactful neighbor, and we know that with the help of Generosity Feeds we will be able to make a significant positive impact in the lives of children throughout metro Detroit. Our goal this holiday season is to provide 10,000 meals to youth in metro Detroit, ensuring they have the resources needed to thrive.”

Added Ron Klabunde, founder and CEO of Generosity Feeds, “One in five children in the U.S. go hungry every day – and many of these children don’t know where their next meal will come from. Because we also know that there are lasting effects on children who lack proper nutrition, it is more crucial than ever to end this cycle. With MOD’s engagement and donation, we will create nutritionally balanced and filling meals that will be taken home in backpacks every Friday afternoon for children and their families. Like MOD, we have discovered that the value of decreasing food insecurity is more than just giving people food - it involves mobilizing people into a lifestyle of generosity.”

With a goal of raising $10,000 to supply 10,000 meals to metro Detroit children, the following TSFR MOD Pizza restaurants will participate in the fundraiser:

· Livonia MOD Pizza (13229 Middlebelt Road)
· Rochester Hills MOD Pizza (3058 S. Rochester Road)
· Brighton MOD Pizza (8605 W. Grand River)
· Northville MOD Pizza (18821 Traditions Drive)
· Woodhaven MOD Pizza (23071 Allen Road)
· Canton MOD Pizza (41865 Ford Road)
· Chesterfield MOD Pizza (50670 Gratiot Avenue)
· Shelby Township MOD Pizza (15153 23 Mile Road and 56619 Van Dyke Avenue)
