Naked Brighton Man Tased by Police in Illinois After he Allegedly Took a Hallucinogenic Drug
The 19-year-old was also charged with throwing a computer monitor at his girlfriend's head
On Friday at 11:15 p.m., two Lisle, Illinois police officers responded to the 5800 block of Forest View Road to investigate a report of a man running naked through the hallway screaming and damaging light fixtures, according to a department spokesman.
The fire alarm had been activated when officers arrived, and residents were leaving the building.
When police reached the 4th floor hallway, the man charged at the officers with flailing arms. Lisle Deputy Chief Ron Wilke later listened to the 9-1-1 call and said he could hear the suspect screaming and shrieking.

An officer deployed his Taser, but due to the naked subject's flailing motions one of the two taser probes failed to make contact. Both probes must contact a subject for the taser to be employed at a distance.
The subject began punching one of the officers in the face as they struggled to control him. One of the officers was able to use a Taser directly on the subject's skin. The man then pulled the officer to the ground, where the struggle continued.

The two officers eventually gained control of the man, and a third officer arriving at the scene handcuffed the man. The suspect had numerous cuts and scrapes from broken glass. One of the officers came in contact with the suspect's blood. The suspect and the officer were transported to Edward Hospital for treatment by Lisle Woodridge Fire District personnel. The officer was later released and finished working.
Police found the suspect's girlfriend on the third floor of the apartment building. She said that her boyfriend, Nicholas G. Henning, a 19-year-old from Brighton, Michigan, had taken a hallucinogenic drug and became enraged. The girlfriend said Henning threw a computer monitor at her head and ran out of the apartment naked. She was also taken to Edward Hospital for treatment.
The damage to the apartment complex included "numerous broken light fixtures, damage to several apartment doors, and a large mirror that was broken in the 4th floor lobby."
Henning was taken to the DuPage County Jail after he was treated at the hospital. He has been charged with felony aggravated battery to a police officer and domestic battery.
Henning may face additional charges once the apartment complex compiles the cost of the damage he caused and once lab results determine the kind of drugs he had.
Lisle Deputy Chief Ron Wilke said police rarely encount naked suspects in Lisle.
"That's probably the third or fourth one I can remember," Wilke said. "It is not something that we encounter all the time."
An arrest or charge is not a finding of guilt.
