Sounds & Sights Festival (formerly Chelsea Summerfest) is an annual summer festival in historic Chelsea, Michigan. The event started over three decades ago as merchant sidewalk sales and has since burgeoned into a highlight of summer that draws visitors from all over the state and beyond. The two-day, three-night event features live music and social tent, children’s entertainment and activities, a classic car show, open-air art market, and much more. This year’s event offers many new, exciting changes as well as keeping the tradition of old favorites that keep people coming year after year. 6:30pm - 8:30pm: Street Entertainment. 7:00pm - 11:00pm: Social Tent Entertainment:  Bull Halsey, Dragon Wagon, Bill Bynum & Co.

5. Last Chance

Fabulous chicken barbecue for $10, which includes 1/2 BBQ chicken, baked beans, coleslaw or applesauce, roll with butter and choice of drink.  Strawberry shortcake available for $2. This will be going on during the Classic Car Show on Middle Street during the Friday night Sounds & Sights Festival. Come and enjoy dining outdoors or inside in case of rain.  All proceeds will benefit the church's missions and capital improvement projects.
