  • Friends of the Dexter Library Used Book Sale Saturday, August 10, 2013 (during Dexter Daze)
This sale takes place during Dexter Daze and is, unquestionably, the Friends largest sale of the year consisting of several thousand books. Children through adult, fiction and nonfiction titles are available for purchase. Most book prices range from 25 cents to $2.00. A large selection including sets of books, vintage books, and all genres, will fill the entire library conference room as well as the Friends room. Vintage and gift book prices may vary. The regular sale begins at 9 am and ends at 3 pm. However, the doors to the large room will reopen at 3:30 pm until 4:30 pm for the $5.00 fill-a-bag-sale.

5. Last Chance

Turn the written word into visual art! Crafter Melanie will instruct the class in making handmade flowers and other paper crafts using the pages of recycled books. These lovely crafts are relatively simple to make and can be used as many forms of decorations, including centerpieces and gift bows. Please bring scissors. Registration Required.
