Chelsea Alehouse Brewery Moving To Downtown
The Move Will Allow The Alehouse To Expand Food Offerings.

The Chelsea Alehouse Brewery is moving forward with plans to move downtown this spring. Owners Chris and Aubrey Martinson say that the new space located at 115 S. Main has space for an expanded kitchen, which will allow the brewery to expand menu offerings.
Martinson told Concentrate Ann Arbor that the business will offer more “beer education,” including tastings not just of Chelsea Alehouse’s own brews, but others by breweries in Ohio and Michigan. "We want to have events that highlight how beer is made and the different styles," he says. "We could bring in maybe a variety of lagers or New England-style IPAs from five different breweries for a tasting,’ Martinson said.
The Alehouse’s new digs share a parking lot with Jeff Daniels’ Purple Rose Theatre, which should increase walk-in visits.
