Chelsea Police Arrest Woman Wanted for Shoplifting

The following information was provided by the Chelsea Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

A 43-year-old Grass Lake woman wanted for shoplifting was arrested on April 19, according to a Chelsea police report.

Police were on routine patrol when they were requested to respond to the 1200 block of S. Main Street around 4:40 p.m.

When they arrived, the officers met with the management, who said they saw the woman conceal multiple items under a blanket in her shopping car.

Officers performed a routine warrant check on the suspect and determined
that she was wanted out of Blackman Township on a shoplifting charge, as well. The suspect was taken into custody and subsequently turned over to Blackman Township on their warrant.
