Chelsea School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Chelsea is September 5. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Chelsea School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/29: Teachers' First Day (Professional Development)
• 8/30: Teachers Only (Professional Development)

September

• 9/5: First Day of School

October

• 10/11: Chelsea HS Parent/Teacher Conferences (3:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
• 10/18: Beach MS and North Creek Parent/Teacher Conferences (3:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
• 10/19: Chelsea HS Parent/Teacher Conferences (3:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
• 10/26: Beach MS and North Creek Parent/Teacher Conferences (3:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)

November

• 11/8: South Meadows Parent/Teacher Conferences (3:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
• 11/16: South Meadows Parent/Teacher Conferences (3:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
• 11/21: Half Day for Students (Records Day for Teachers), End of First Trimester
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/25: No School (Winter Break Begins)

January

• 1/8: School Resumes
• 1/15: No School for Students (Martin Luther King Jr Day) Half Day for Teachers (Professional Development)
• 1/24: Beach MS Parent/Teacher Conferences (3:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
• 1/25: Chelsea HS Parent/Teacher Conferences (3:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)

February

• 2/16 - 2/19: No School (Presidents' weekend)

March

• 3/8: Half Day for Students (Records Day for Teachers), End of Second Trimester
• 3/9: No School for Students (Half Day Professional Development for Teachers)

April
