Hometown Holiday Features Breakfast With Santa

Chelsea welcomes Santa, keeps the focus on shop local initiative

This weekend, Chelsea rings in the festive season with its annual Hometown Holiday. Saturday, Dec 2, starts with breakfast with Santa (8:30-10:30 a.m., Chelsea Comfort Inn). Children enjoy a free pancake breakfast and a chance to sit with Santa. Children can share their hopes and wishes with Santa and enjoy a free pancake breakfast. Parents are welcome to take as many pictures of their adorable tots with Santa as their cameras’ memory cards can hold.

The breakfast with Santa event honors the Comfort Inn’s former manager, Bruce Szcodronski, who worked at the hotel for over a decade. Before his diagnosis with esophageal cancer, Szcodronski volunteered in the community. His service included seven years with Chelsea Rotary and being the president of the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce for three years, before his health forced his resignation.

More information on Hometown Holiday, which will include other Santa opportunities, gingerbread making craft bazaars and a focus on shopping local, can be found on Chelsea Update’s website.
