Rumpus Room Offers Keg Tapping, Live Music For New Year’s Eve

Sunday, Dec 31, at 7 pm, The Rumpus Room will host a New Year’s Eve Dork Out and Rock Out with live music from the Dorkestra. The band describes itself as coming from “Tin Pan Alley, through Swing and Bop, a stop in classical land and straight through Motown to disco.” The Dorkestra website gives an idea of the fun time Chelsea revelers can expect Sunday.

The band will play four sets, carrying revelers through til the stroke of midnight. At 9, The Rumpus Room will tap a keg of Founders Brewing’s Canadian Breakfast Stout. The brewers describe this concoction as combining “Rich maple syrup, roasted coffee and velvety chocolate…in what can only be described as a transcendental drinking experience."
