West Nile Virus in Washtenaw County, Plus More Tips for the Week Ahead

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your week in Chelsea.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Chelsea to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. For your information

Drop-In Summer Story Times at Dexter District Library are held every Monday and Thursday at 11:00 a.m. until August 1.  Children and their caregivers may attend both sessions which are approximately 30 minutes long. Story Times are geared for ages 18 months to 5 years of age but all ages are welcome during our summer sessions. Small daycare groups are welcome to attend and parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate.

Stop by the Dexter Library for a free bag of popcorn and a viewing of Escape From Planet Earth on the big screen! Astronaut Scorch Supernova finds himself caught in a trap when he responds to an SOS from a notoriously dangerous alien planet.  Rated PG, 89 minutes. Everyone is welcome.

Apply now for the village's 2nd Annual Temporary Sculpture Display. You can also register for the Paint Dexter Plein Air Festival. This event will be held from August 13-17.
