5 Things You Should Know: School Board Meeting, Winter Strings Concert and More
We're looping you in on what's happening around town this week.

1. The Clawson School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the . Cyndi Peltonen will be honored for 20 years of service on the Clawson Board of Education. Letters of tribute from the community will be read.
2. hosts a food pantry for needy families every Monday from 5-8 p.m. If you'd like to donate food to the Clawson Food Pantry, the collection sites are at , , Grace Apostolic, , and Great Clips.
3. The winter strings concert is at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the school's auditorium.Â

4. is celebrating the season of giving by accepting various gifts for animals at area 'No Kill' shelters. The community can stop in the salon and take an ornament off the Christmas tree that is labeled with a specific pet gift such as food, toys and grooming items. Once you find the item, you can drop it back off at the salon and they will deliver it to either Make a Difference Rescue or Silver Lake Animal Rescue League.
5. There will be a children's Christmas program called 'Angel Alert' at at 7 p.m. Friday and again at noon Sunday. Admission is free.
